Pick up time from your hotel: 6 am.
After an early pick up, we then drive to Senggigi or Nipah Beach, where a traditional local fishing boat is ready to welcome you. On board, everything is prepared for your fishing experience, including fishing rods, traditional hand lines and fresh bait.
After a scenic boat ride of around 40 minutes, you will then reach the first fishing spot near the famous northern Gili Islands.
This is where the adventure truly begins. Using both fishing rods and hand lines, you’ll try your luck catching fish such as snapper and local “chicken fish”. Guided by experienced locals, you will get a true feel of traditional fishing in Lombok.
Any fish you catch can be taken back with you- your hotel can even prepare it for a fresh dinner later that evening.
Relaxing at the Gili Islands
Around midday, we continue to one of the nearby Gili Islands- Gili Trawnangan, Gili Meno, or Gili Air- depending on conditions. Here, you’ll have time not only to relax and enjoy lunch, but also optionally go snorkeling in the clear tropical waters.
In the afternoon, we begin our journey back to the mainland. Sit back and enjoy the ocean views before returning comfortably to your hotel around 3 pm, ending a memorable day on the water.
