Expectation of Selong Belanak Beach Tour; Cultural experiences
Your day begins, at first, with a ride towards Banyumulek Pottery Village in West Lombok. This village is well known for its traditional handmade ceramics.
At this village, you will witness the authentic process of clay pottery making, passed down trough generations. Local artisans are happy to demonstrate their skills, and you even have the chance to try making your own pottery. Finished products are available for purchase, with secure packing for travel.
Then, we continue to Sukarara Hand weaving Village, located in Central Lombok. This village is famous for its traditional handwoven textiles known as Tenun. You’ll see how these beautiful fabrics are carefully crafted by hand. A unique cultural tradition here is that the young women are expected to master weaving before marriage. A local guide will take you trough the village and explain the entire process of how these unique handwoven fabrics are made. If you like, try yourself for a authentic Lombok experience.
Exploring Southern Beaches
After that, we head south to the highlight of the tour: Selong Belanak Beach. Meanwhile, enjoy scenic views and glimpses of local daily life in rural Lombok.
Selong Belanak is one of the most beautiful beaches in Lombok, known for its soft white sand and clear blue waters. At this beach you’ll have plenty of time to relax, swim, or even take a beginner surfing lesson.
For lunch, you can enjoy European or Indonesian dishes at Laut Biru Restaurant or choose from other local beachfront restaurants.
Afterwards lunch, in the afternoon we continue to Lancing Beach and Mawun Beach, two hidden gems in South Lombok. These quieter beaches are perfect for relaxing while enjoying the natural beauty away from the crowds. Furthermore, they offer great photo opportinities
Visiting Traditional Sasak Village
Late afternoon, we drive back to Senggigi, passing the Mandalika (Kuta Lombok) area. Then, we stop at the Traditional Sasak Village, such as Ende or Rambitan. Meanwhile, you’ll experience the authentic lifestyle of the Sasaks, the original inhabitants of Lombok. Learn about their unique houses, traditions and daily life long time ago.
From the Traditional Sasak Villages we continue our way to Senggigi. You will arrive at your hotel in the early evening, after a full day of culture, nature and relaxation.
